Twice Blessed

Welcome to my page, inspired by my 10 yr old son!  My idea is to design a site that might enable others to shorten their journey through the maze of learning disabilities in their gifted children.  During the past  months I have tried to educate myself so that I could help my son find success, in a world that he doesn’t understand, and doesn’t understand him.

This web site is intended to provide help for others searching for answers.  My goal is not to educate , but to provide you a firm base of resources to begin your own research.  My idea also was to provide quick information for the adults that come in contact with our children.

This page is a labor of love.

Please check back often, hopefully there will be changes.

Suggestions and comments are welcome and appreciated .

Twice gifted children may either initially appear obviously Learning Disabled(LD) or obviously gifted.  These children often are hard to identify, their giftedness compensating for their Learning Disabilities.  Or their learning disabilities masking their giftedness. I think these children often appear angry, frustrated, and out of step with others.

Early identification is essential  for these children's success.  If you have a child, or know a child, exhibiting asynchrony in their development, please open your mind  to the idea that they might be Twice Gifted, and read on.
